Waterford v Longford
Date: Sep-26-2014
Category: Irish football
Waterford United welcome Longford Town to the RSC this Friday for the Blues second last home game of the season.
Nothing has change actually, since welcomed Shelbourne they have lost
another game with high handicap with Wexford goes down after 6 minutes
of first kick off.
Tommy Griffin "will be hoping to give as many players as possible the
chance to gain first team experience as the club attempts to rebuild."
It means that they will use plenty of youth player again adding only a
few changes in first XI. Coach would like to preparing his team to new
season in one division lower as he has no chance to survive.
Longford is a leader and in my opinion have easier game on a paper
comparing to his rival Shelbourne. They have wasted many points because
of very bad run of five games without a win (DDLLD) but in last round
finally have won against Cobh Ramblers (4:2). They have only one point
advantage so must win is request.
Next season, De Town will be celebrating 90 years of existence and 30
years in the League of Ireland. I believe they want to celebrate this
eve in Premier League after automatically promotion without Play-offs
where everything still can happen.
